IT Manager

As the IT Manager, you will be working for a company that is both a provider of IT services and a developer and marketer of niche software. The IT Manager will need to have a broad understanding across both IT services/infrastructure, and best practice software development and quality assurance. IT strategy and planning will be a large focus of the role, to ensure that the organisation delivers services and develops robust solutions effectively to its clients.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have two direct reports who lead both the infrastructure and software development teams, with a full staff head count of approximately fifteen.

Suitability will be assessed across the following criteria:

• Experience in IT Management for small/medium commercial companies;
• Experience managing product/applications development either for internal or external consumption;
• Project planning and project management skills;
• Experience managing infrastructure projects and operations; and
• People management skills are critical to developing and maintaining a positive and effective team culture.

The purpose of the IT Manager will be to effectively manage all aspects of the company's ICT functions, including software development and infrastructure. The role is commercially focussed, and you will need to ensure that the solutions being put into the marketplace live up to client expectations, and that capability continues with the strong sales growth that the core application is experiencing.
