Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Retrieval Service, Royal Children’s Hospital, Herston, Children’s Health Services District. Remuneration value up to $176 396 p.a., comprising salary between $111 427 - $122 784 p.a., (L10-L13) or Remuneration value up to $151 882 p.a., co mprising salary between $87 370 - $101 299 p.a. (L4-L9), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), vocational training subsidy, professional indemnity cover plus overtime and on-call allowances. Duties/Abilities: Provide a combined clinical role in Paediatric Intensive Care and Paediatric Retrieval Medicine, according to a roster system with rostered shifts in both services and provide direct medical care of assigned patients under the supervision and guidance of consultant senior medical officers appointed to the PICU and the paediatric coordinator for retrievals. Undertake administrative clinical duties under the direction of the Consultant and maintain high quality patient medical records. Participate in PICU and Retrieval research programs and undertake retrievals for the Paediatric Retrieval Service. Undertake continuing postgraduate medical education and training to acquire further experience appropriate to a specific training program. Undertake administrative non-clinical duties, such as preparing registrar education sessions, registrar rostering under the direction of the Consultant. Delegations are consistent with the prescribed Queensland Health, Health Service District manual. Supervises Registrars in Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. The Senior Registrars / Fellows work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including other health professionals working within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Paediatric Retrieval Service.
